The Swiss company Gamaya, global specialist in smart-climate solutions for the sugarcane market, announces Fernando Rati as the new Head of Brazil.

‍Fernando Rati is an Agronomist graduated from the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA), with a master’s degree in Marketing and Agricultural Economics from the same institution, specializations in soil and plant nutrition from Esalq/USP, agribusiness management from Rehagro/FAZU and international business from Northern Michigan University.

‍Among the main activities throughout his professional career, his experience as a field agronomist in several states of Brazil, work in the Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock of Brazil and the Brazilian Association of Cotton Producers stands out. He was a Senior Consultant for the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), working on agriculture projects in the area of technology, sustainability, traceability and ESG throughout Latin America, Europe, North America and Asia.

‍In the last two years, Fernando has been dedicated exclusively to technology projects in sugarcane, coffee, corn, soybeans and cotton, with a holistic view of the agribusiness production chains, not only in the productive sector, but also in the interface with trading companies, banks and industries.
